Privacy policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

The short version: your workspace is yours. We use your information to run DJme for you, we don’t sell it, and you can take it with you or delete it.

1Who we are

DJme (“we”, “us”) runs the DJme website and app at djme.io. For the personal information you put into your workspace, we act as the data controller for your account details and as a processor for information you store about other people, such as your contacts.

Questions about privacy go to hello@djme.io. [Legal review: add company legal name, registered address and, if required, the data protection officer or EU/UK representative.]

2What we collect

  • Account details: your name or artist name, handle, email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider) and account type.
  • Workspace content: bookings, contracts, riders, travel, invoices, expenses, contacts, notes, messages, press kit content, mixes, photos and promo tracks you upload or receive.
  • Payment details: handled by Stripe. We store subscription status and Stripe identifiers, not your full card number.
  • Connected accounts: if you connect a service such as Spotify for analytics, the data it returns, like follower and listener counts.
  • Technical data: basic logs such as IP address, browser and timestamps, used to keep the service secure and working.

Promoters who sign a contract or pay an invoice through a DJme link give us their name, email and signature or payment details for that purpose.

3How we use it

  • To run your workspace and the features you use: bookings, contracts, invoices, promo delivery, your public press kit and team access.
  • To send the emails the service needs, such as contract and invoice links, invites and account messages.
  • To process subscriptions and payments.
  • To keep DJme secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To produce anonymised, aggregated statistics, such as the fee benchmark in Analytics, that can’t identify you.

4Copilot and AI

When you use Copilot, the request and the relevant workspace context (for example the booking you ask about) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a response. [Legal review: confirm provider terms on retention and training, and describe them here.] Copilot only suggests; nothing is sent to a contact unless you send it.

5Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run DJme, under contracts that limit how they can use it:

  • Supabase: database, authentication and file storage.
  • Stripe: subscriptions, payment links and payouts.
  • Resend: transactional email.
  • Anthropic: AI responses for Copilot.
  • Spotify and other platforms you choose to connect.
  • Our hosting provider. [Legal review: name the hosting provider and data locations.]

Information you publish on your press kit is public. Information you share with team members is visible to them within the areas you allow. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

6Cookies and local storage

  • A session cookie keeps you signed in.
  • A demo cookie is set when you open the demo so it shows sample data. It expires after a few hours.
  • Your light or dark mode choice is kept in your browser’s local storage.
  • At the time of writing we don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. [Legal review: update if analytics are added.]

7How long we keep it

We keep your workspace for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep records, such as invoices, to meet legal obligations. [Legal review: set specific retention periods.]

8Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, object to or restrict some uses, and complain to your data protection authority. Write to hello@djme.io and we’ll respond within the time the law requires.

9Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls that keep each workspace separate, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

10International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. [Legal review: confirm transfer mechanisms.]

11Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
